ACQI Research Fellow Dr Mikaela Dell’Oro has been awarded the Dr. Udupi Madhvanath Memorial AFOMP Best PhD Award in Radiobiology, 2022, by the Asia-Oceania Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (AFOMP). This award recognises the excellence of Mikaela’s PhD work, undertaken at the University of South Australia, which involved assessing the potential radiobiological impact and long term side effects of particle therapies used for treatment of paediatric cancers. We congratulate Mikaela on receiving this award, and acknowledge the tremendous work being undertaken by AFOMP to promote excellence in research throughout the region.
