As part of ACQI’s collaboration with AIQ Solutions, we are very please to welcome Mikaela Dell’Oro as a new Research Associate. Mikaela joins us from Adelaide where she undertook her PhD at the University of South Australia studying the potential long term effects of treatment of childhood cancers with radiotherapy. Mikaela brings unique skills in radiation therapy, the assessment of imaging-based treatment data and real-life experience in taking oncology patients through their treatment journey. These skills will be valuable in Mikaela’s new role, managing the collation of nuclear medicine imaging for cancer patients with metastatic disease, and working to ensure such images can be used to optimise the care of individual patients.
